Juliana Figueiredo de Lima
Project title: Caatinga phylogeography: Scorpions (Arachnida) as models for this inference.
Research interests: I am interested in phylogeography and chromosomal evolution using scorpions as study models. My research is focused on comparative phylogeography of endemic caatinga species and chromosomal patterns of different populations.

Postdoctoral fellows
Rodrigo Willemart (2008)
Research projects conducted at The Arachnology Lab: Systematic review and cladistic analysis of Sadocus Sørensen, 1886 (Opiliones: Gonyleptidae: Pachylinae).
– External and internal morphology of sensory structures in gonyleptid harvestmen (Arachnida, Opiliones): a functional and phylogenetical approach.
Cibele Bragagnolo (2000-2009)
Research projects conducted at The Arachnology Lab:
– Diversity of harvestmen (Arachnida, Opiliones) in Parque Nacional Serra dos Órgãos.
– Diversity and faunistic similarity of the harvestmen (Arachnida, Opiliones) of the south and souteastern Brazil.
– Systematic review and cladistic analysis of Promitobates Roewer, 1913 and phylogenetic analysis of Mitobatinae Simon, 1879 (Arachnida, Opiliones, Gonyleptidae).
– Phylogenetic placement of Promitobates lineages with emphasis in the phylogeographic delimitation of the P. ornatus complex (Laniatores, Gonyleotidae, Mitobatinae).

Jairo A. Moreno-González (2015-2021)
Project title: Systematic revision and phylogenetic analysis of Tityus (Archaeotityus) (Scorpiones: Buthidae) based on morphological and molecular evidence.
Research interests: I am interested in the evolution and systematics of arachnids. My research is focused on some arachnid groups such as Scorpiones (Tityus) and Pedipalpi (Schizomida, Uropygi and Amblypygi).
Brittany Damron (2015-2020)
Project title: Phylogeny of the family Cosmetidae (Arachnida, Opiliones), using a Total Evidence Approach.
Research interests: Broadly I am interested in general patterns of biodiversity and biogeography in the Neotropics. Currently I am focused on taxonomy and systematics of Cosmetidae since it is an important taxa in the Neotropics and is in desperate need of taxonomic review.
Jimmy Cabra-García (2014-2018)
Project title: Systematics and evolution of the orb-weaving spider genus Wagneriana F. O. P.-Cambridge, 1904 (Araneae, Araneidae).
Research interests: I am broadly interested in systematics, evolution, natural history and patterns of alpha and beta diversity. My current research project focuses on the systematics of the orb-weaving spider genus Wagneriana under the total evidence approach.
Marcio Bernardino da Silva (2003-2010)

– Biogeography of Gonyleptidae of the Atlantic Forest, with revision of the Hernandariinae (Arachnida, Opiliones).
– Historical biogeography of the Atlantic Forest based on the distribution of harvestmen (Arachnida, Opiliones).
